Waking up at 6 a.m often felt very difficult for most people. That is also true for me. I used to be wondering why wake up so early when a warm sheet is so cozy and you still have plenty of time before your first activity that day? Well, society will have many different views answering this question; hence, I believe the idea of waking up early is because the first few hours when we wake up is a crucial moment which may determine how the rest of the day will be.

It is not easy waking up so early in the morning, our subconsciousness that gets used to with the habits responding by telling us to pull up the blanket instead of wake up and do the morning routine. However, by waking up early, you actually will have extra time that could be utilized to enhance yourself. You can watch those videos about self-improvement you had previously saved on ‘watch later’ playlist on Youtube, write some journals, do light exercise, meditate, or even as simple as catching up with your latest favourite series on Netflix. And therefore indicating that you start the day by doing something useful instead of scrolling the phone or even worse; rushing to the shower.

Try to beat the sun, he’s tough.

There are many few opinions of why waking up early in the morning is a good thing, for me personally it feels like I have a bigger chance to be more productive when kicking off the day. As the old proverb saying, “There is nothing more important than a good start” I believe being productive when starting of any activities or period will bring a positive ripple effect that hopefully will lead to a better result. Having a good start may also help you to perform better during the rest of the period as you already have a good start in the beginning; no one want to regress. Thus, it helps you set the initial standard of how you want the rest of the period to be.

It does not matter whether it is the first day of the week, month, or year. a good start will help you bring positive energy. So, set up your alarm then go for a run, meditate, write a journal or anything. Just make sure you kick it off with a bang!
